Totally enjoyable event
We had a great time at the event, enjoying the riders and bulls. JB Mauney's surprise buck off of I'm a Ganster was one of the highlights. Ben Jones' performance was incredible. Watching him celebrate after making the 8 seconds was really fun. It was a relief that there were no injuries to the riders or bulls. I'm not a fan of wrecks and prefer to see successful rides. The riders seemed a bit "rusty" at the first event of the season. The technical difficulties were disappointing, especially with the hard-to-follow scoring and missing scores. I came home hoping to catch up on the details, but faced the same issues on the VS broadcast. The absence of day sheets due to a broken printer made it challenging to keep track of the scores, but luckily I had paper to write them down. Winning tickets for next year would be amazing, as we make it a tradition to attend the event every year. This was our third year traveling from Dover, DE, for the event. The music volume is usually a complaint for me at events, but this time it was just right. It's usually too loud to hear the announcer clearly. Flint was his usual amazing self, with his ad-lib skills, athleticism, and crowd interaction making the event even more enjoyable. I can't imagine a Plini event without him. I wish there were more events closer to us, as it's challenging to travel far due to work commitments. I'm looking forward to attending the event in Kansas City in April, making it my second event this year compared to three last year when there was one in Baltimore. I'm grateful for my DVR, but nothing beats experiencing the event in person.
